    Jardine is delusional.
round 1 9-9 ( including 1 point deduction for Mousasi)
    round 2 10-9 Mousasi
    round 3 10-9 Mousasi
Mousasi dominated the stand up in all 3 rounds. Jardine got takedowns in the first 2 rounds but did nothing with them, Mousasi got back up right after and did all of the damage on the ground. Mousasi dominated both in the stand up and on the ground. Jardine got the shit beaten out of him. Mousasi would have won by ko/tko in the third if the ref had not stopped the fight to look at Jardine's cuts and give him time to recuperate.

    the face…the face!!!

I completely agree with madona's scoring (never thought I'd say that. How are ya madge?)

Rd 1 was 9-9 for sure. But let's face it, the up kick wasn't that bad – definitely not a game changer like some fouls. Shouldn't have been a draw. Keith got battered in the 2nd round and the judges gave it him because he got few sketchy takedowns that a) Did no damage and b) didn't result with any damge on the ground. Mousasi got up each time and continued to beat him up. 3rd definitely for Mousasi.

The rules need sorting out. At the moment it seems that a laboured and scrappy takedown that does no damage whatsoever is worth the same as rampage slam on the scorecard. It's retarded.

I am he realize he lost after he actually looked at the fight again.

    He wasn't thinking straight.

Jardine got takedowns in the first 2 rounds

you said it right there madonna.

jardine won, thats all there is to it. become a judge if you dont like it.

did he get beat up. you bet.
did he inflict a lot, or any damage. not really.
    did he score takedowns. yes.
were the takedowns inpressive. not really.
does it matter because he STILL scored the pts. no, it does not, pts are pts.
i called it as i was watching it, jardine by split decision or a draw.

mainly , imo, because GM couldnt put him away.
also, the ref was a lil bias. he and jardine have teh same barber.

  • rombus says:

actually now that i think about it, the ref was REAL bias. i think they stopped the fight whenever jardine took more than 3 punches.

    "you ok?…..take your time…"

  • Loop says:

so a takedown counts more than clean strikes to the face? we should take the Mixed out of MMA and instead call it WMA = Wrestling Martial Arts… why should anyone train kickboxing and muay thai…

    • rombus says:

this is a pretty good read. an explanation of the 10 point must system. current ufc scoring system. might give you a better idea of what takedowns are worth. keep in mind the judges all do literally see a different fight. i believe they form a triangle around the octogon, giving each a slightly different perspective.

at the bottom there is a link to amazon to buy the unified rules. good food for superfans. them and chael sonen, as im guessing he recently purchased a copy. after watching his latest interview with ariel he explains that unified rules only apply inside the octogon, and not to procedures from state to state involving paperwork about your testosterone injections.

  • ere says:

Jardine may have lost….but the guy is a warrior. He battles with the best of them. Gotta give the man ups for that.

  • JimCozad says:

Err… That's the point Ere, he didn't lose, it was a draw

  • Messiah Walks says:

Damage should be counted as well as hits and he looks like a loser hands down.
